Rules & Policies

Late Arrival

Please arrive on time! Students arriving 10 or more minutes late may be denied entry to class at the discretion of the Instructor. If you are 10 or minutes late and told that you cannot join class, you will be considered a “late cancellation”. Understand that disrupting class is unfair to other students, may not afford enough time for proper conditioning or warm-up, and therefore increase likelihood of injury, which should not be your instructor’s responsibility.

Student Cancellations

We know your life is busy, so we have a very forgiving cancellation policy: 12 hours before the start of class. Late cancellation fee is $10.

Due to limited capacity and high demand, no-shows made with a standard pass will be charged a class credit from their current plan.

Unlimited Monthly Membership holders who no-show will be charged current full price for the class.

Please note that all cancellations MUST BE MADE BY THE STUDENT THROUGH THEIR ACCOUNT. Cancellation requests via text or email are very unlikely to reach us in a timely manner, so please be sure to cancel class by signing into your account.

Weather and Other Studio Cancellations

We post our cancellations and closures on our FB and IG accounts. We will usually make decisions on weather-based closures, particularly winter storms, by 1pm the day-of for evening classes, and by 9pm the night before for morning classes.

If you are registered for a class, you will receive an email regarding a cancellation, or a push-notification to your phone if you use our PIKE13 App (which we highly recommend so your don’t miss those important notifications in your inbox!). In some instances, you may also receive a pre-emptive alert that we are watching conditions in consideration of a closing.

Flight will close in the event of a State of Emergency to comply with efforts to keep roads clear.

We understand that road and weather conditions and impacts close to our studio can vary greatly from those closer to those from which our students and instructors are traveling. If conditions near you are hazardous, but the studio area is clear and remains open, please contact us!

Our instructors are pretty awesome, but not invinceble- life happens, and sometimes they have known absences, or last-minute complications that require us to cancel or find a substitute instructor. In the event that an Instructor is substituted less than 12 hours before class start time, we will waive all late cancellation fees for that class! Though we will have another Instructor sub to keep classes running consistently, we also understand that you may only want to take class with your favorite instructor! All substitute Instructors are approved by the listed, regular instructor of that class.

Minors

Minors are welcome to attend all classes, unless otherwise noted in the class' description (these will be marked “18+ only”). We also have a special classes just for our young budding aerialists, where kids often feel more comfortable.

If you are accompanying a minor and not participating in class yourself, we ask that you wait in our front foyer! This area is not far and within line-of-sight of class. Have your child bring their water bottle and other necessities with them to the mat, and please refrain from attempting to instruct your child; this is a safety hazard and undermining to our Instructors. We usually leave a few minutes at the end of class for all students to take pictures and videos of what they’ve learned in class, at which point we will invite you to class if your child needs help with video or pictures!

We ask that minors be accompanied by a legal guardian for their first class. After class, speak with the instructor of that specific class to determine whether your young student is ready to attend that class solo going forward. Private lessons are also available for young students that might focus better in a one-on-one learning environment.

When creating an account, we offer the option to “manage” your young student’s account, keeping passwords, waivers and documents, payment information and class enrollment under your control.

How young is too young? Every child and teen is different, but we usually find that children be of school-age or older are already usually adapted to the structure of group lessons, and have started to develop those all-important listening skills!

Please, no unattended minors in the studio!

Waivers are necessary to attend classes, and a waiver for a minor may only be signed by their legal guardian!

Photos and Videos

Taking videos and pictures is restricted to the last 5 minutes of class at the direction of your Instructor.

While we encourage students to record and review their progress, we ask that they do so in a manner that respects the privacy and modesty of their fellow students and instructors. We ask that students exclude instructors and other students from their videos and photos, and refrain from posting any images of other students or instructors to websites with adult content. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the studio and legal action.

Dress

Each class will have unique dress requirements- these will not only optimize your ability to participate, move and interact with the apparati, but also keep you and our equipment safe. If you are scheduled for class, please take a moment to review the dress guidelines for your class!

For all aerial and pole classes, we ask that you remove jewelry from hands, feet, wrists, ankles, and neck. Dangling earrings should also be removed. If you have rings that no longer come off easily, you may be asked to wear gloves on poles or fabric to protect out equipment and prevent injury to your hands.

Social Conduct

We pride ourselves on having and amazing and diverse group of students, and maintaining a very positive studio culture. Body-shaming, racisim, age-ism and sexism don't have a home here. Harassment or demeaning of instructors or students will not be tolerated, and offenders will be asked to leave without refund.

Instructors may touch you from time to time to spot or guide you as necessary, and accidental contact with instructors and other students may occur, but intentional uninvited contact outside of this is not warranted.

Please listen to the direction of your instructor carefully, and avoid attempting to teach other students. Understand that it is neither your responsibility or prerogative to teach another student; please defer questions to your instructor!

Drugs/Alcohol/Medications

Please note the anyone visiting the studio that is under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or other drugs (prescription or otherwise) that impair motor ability, balance or cognition will be asked to leave or sit out of activities for their own safety. If you are currently on prescription medications that cause such impairment, we ask that you discuss your proposed aerial activity with your doctor.

Medical needs, medications and conditions that may stand at odds with the activities at our studio should be discussed with your doctor; our staff is not responsible for diagnosing, mitigating or acommodating a student’s medical status.
