Aerial Class Descriptions

  • Intro To Aerial Silks


    Want to learn how to fly? Come to our Aerial Silks Fitness class and we guarantee you will be up in the air in less than an hour. Each class begins with stretching and strengthening exercises aided by our aerial silk slings. Then you will learn and practice basic aerial silks moves. Whether this is your first time or you are a regular silks student, you will benefit from this class!

  • Aerial Silks: Beyond Beginner

    This intensive aerial hammock class weaves together basic/transitional moves, inversions, flips, standing poses, and advanced tricks. After a thorough warm-up and stretching, aerialists will progress through a planned sequence of moves with ever-increasing difficulty in order to build muscles and endurance. Emphasis will include performing each pose left-handed and right-handed to achieve a balanced work-out and symmetry.

    This class is by invitation only - please contact us or consult with Amanda, our aerial director, if you are interested in joining!

  • Aerial Dance


    Learn complete Aerial Hammock choreographies in our Aerial Dance class! You will go beyond simply executing moves & tricks by taking what you have learned and making it into an act. This class will focus on smooth transitions, creativity and showmanship.

    Basic Aerial Hammock skills are required for this class, so you must take our Intro To Aerial Silks class and speak with one of our aerial instructors before joining this class.

  • Aerial Choreography

    For those who already know the fundamentals of aerial silks, sling and/or lyra. This class focuses on cooperative performances, fusion/cross disciplinary performances, unusual/experimental apparati, choreography, creating videos, and artistic aerial projects.

    This class is by invitation only - please contact us or consult with Amanda, our aerial director, if you are interested in joining!

  • Aerial Sampler


    Our Aerial Sampler class includes instruction on Aerial Silks (split silks), Aerial Hammock, Aerial Net & Aerial Hoop (Lyra). Students will be able try out different types of equipment, practice, or ask questions on how to learn a specific move.

    This class is not as formally taught as our other classes, but will include a group warmup and instruction on all the different types of equipment. No prior aerial experience is necessary to join this class!

  • Lyra (Aerial Hoop)


    Come fly with us! Aerial Hoop (also known as Lyra, Aerial Ring or Cerceau) is a circular steel apparatus resembling a hula hoop suspended from the ceiling, on which circus artists may perform aerial acrobatics. In this class you will learn Aerial Hoop basics such as mounting the hoop, posing, spinning and moving within it.

    All fitness levels and all shapes and sizes are welcome - no experience is necessary! Aerial Hoop classes are great for building core strength and increasing your flexibility.

  • Studio Sampler

    Drop in on the first Friday of every month to take our awesome studio sampler class! Our Studio Sampler class includes instruction on Pole Dancing and Aerial Silks. Students will be able try out different types of pole and silks moves, practice, or ask questions on how to learn a specific move. This class is not as formally taught as our other classes, but will include a group warmup and instruction on all the different types of equipment. No prior pole or aerial experience is necessary to join this class!

9-10pm aerial dance

Learn complete Aerial Sling choreographies in our Aerial Dance class! You will go beyond simply executing moves & tricks by taking what you have learned and making it into an act.

Wednesdays

5-7pm aerial choreography

For those who already know the fundamentals of Aerial Silks, Sling and/or Lyra. Learn and perform complete aerial solo and group choreographies.

Thursdays

6-7pm intro to aerial silks

1st Friday Of Every Month

7pm $10 studio sampler

All of our classes are held at our main studio Wellness On The Green in Morristown NJ. For more info or directions, please visit the Wellness On The Green website. Please text if possible - we are only open when we have classes (Mon-Thurs evenings and Saturdays), so all phone calls go to voicemail when we are closed.

Walking From Morristown Train Station

Wellness On The Green is conveniently located within a few blocks of the Morristown Train Station. Facing Morris Street, turn right out of the station and walk up Morris Street to the corner of the Morristown Green (corner of Morris Street and E. Park Place - approx 1/4 mile). Wellness on the Green is diagonally across the Green at the intersection of N. Park Place, W. Park Place and Bank Street directly above E-trade.

Driving Directions

From Eastern NJ / Route 80

Take Route 80 West to Exit 43, Route 287 South. Follow Route 287 South to Exit 35 (Madison Avenue). Turn right at the end of the ramp and stay right onto South Street. Follow South Street to the center of town, Morristown Square Park - "The Green". Wellness on the Green is on the Green at the intersection of N. Park Place, W. Park Place and Bank Street directly above E-trade.

From Northern NJ / NJ Turnpike

Follow the NJ Turnpike South (95 South) to exit 15W, Interstate 280 West. Take I-280 West to Route 80 West (the end of I-280 becomes 80 West). Take Route 80 West to Exit 43, Route 287 South. Follow Route 287 South to Exit 35 (Madison Avenue). Turn right at the end of the ramp and stay right onto South Street. Follow South Street to the center of town, Morristown Square Park - "The Green". Wellness on the Green is on the Green at the intersection of N. Park Place, W. Park Place and Bank Street directly above E-trade.

From Southern New Jersey / Route 287

Take Route 287 North to Exit 35 (South Street / Madison Avenue). At light turn left onto South Street. Follow South Street to the center of town, Morristown Square Park - "The Green". Wellness on the Green is on the Green at the intersection of N. Park Place, W. Park Place and Bank Street directly above E-trade.

From Western New Jersey / Pennsylvania

You may, however, upgrade your prepaid class card to a membership at any time, or downgrade your membership to a class card (providing you have not used it yet). Drop in fees are also non-refundable - if you attend a class you are expected to pay for it!
